Billing Agent (Coming Soon)
The Billing Agent will help you get refunds, cancel unwanted subscriptions, dispute charges, file chargebacks, and recover money you’re owed — through guided conversations in the Anuma app.
What the Billing Agent can do
- Get a refund — walk through requesting a refund from a merchant
- Cancel a subscription — identify recurring charges and provide cancellation steps
- Dispute a charge — guide you through disputing a charge with your bank or merchant
- File chargebacks — help you build a case and draft chargeback documentation
- Recover owed money — draft demand letters and guide you through collection responses
Sample interaction
You: I was charged $149 for a gym membership I canceled three months ago.
Billing Agent: I can help you dispute that charge. Do you have the cancellation confirmation (email, letter, or screenshot)? I’ll also need to know which bank issued the card that was charged.
It walks you through gathering evidence, drafting a dispute, and submitting it to your bank.
How it will work
The Billing Agent isn’t available to chat with yet — the Agents page in the app always shows which agents are live. When it launches, here’s how it will work:
Step 1: Open the Billing Agent
You’ll find the Billing Agent under Agents in the sidebar.
Step 2: Describe your situation
Tell the agent what happened — an unwanted charge, a subscription to cancel, or money you’re owed. Be specific about amounts, dates, and companies.
Step 3: Follow the guided steps
It asks targeted questions, reviews relevant context from Memories, and walks you through the resolution step by step.
Step 4: Take action
It helps you draft letters, fill out dispute forms, or find cancellation links. You submit everything yourself.
Good to know
- Anuma will not access your bank accounts directly. The Billing Agent prepares documents and guides the process, but you submit everything yourself.
- It will use Memories to personalize help, referencing financial details you’ve shared before.
- It will use open source models for sensitive financial topics.
