Customizing your AI personality
Anuma lets you fine-tune how your AI communicates. Adjust sliders for tone, depth, emoji usage, and more — or pick from pre-built style presets. Your personality settings apply across all conversations and models.
Personality sliders
You can adjust 7 dimensions of your AI’s communication style:

| Emojis | None ↔ Many | How frequently emojis appear in responses |
| Depth | Summary ↔ Deep Dive | How deep responses go into topics |
| Strictness | Speculative ↔ Evidence-only | Whether responses speculate or stick to facts |
Style presets
Don’t want to adjust individual sliders? Choose from pre-built styles:
- Default — Balanced, general-purpose
- Professional — Formal, precise, no emojis
- Friendly — Warm, approachable, conversational
- Candid — Direct, no fluff
- Quirky — Creative, playful, unexpected
- Efficient — Minimal, to-the-point
- Nerdy — Technical, detailed, thorough
- Cynical — Dry humor, skeptical tone
Steps
Step 1: Open Settings
Tap your profile icon and go to Personalization (or AI Preferences).
Step 2: Adjust sliders or pick a preset
Drag the sliders to customize each dimension, or select a style preset to apply a complete set of settings at once.
Step 3: Add custom instructions (optional)
Write custom instructions to give your AI additional context about how you want it to respond. For example: “Always use bullet points” or “Explain things like I’m a beginner.”
Step 4: Set a nickname (optional)
Give your AI a custom name that it uses to refer to itself in conversations.

- Personality settings apply across all models and conversations.
- You can change settings at any time — they take effect immediately.
- Custom instructions are stored in your Memory Vault and can be edited anytime.
- Personality settings sync across web and mobile.
