Auto is the default for new chats. Anuma analyzes each prompt and routes it to the best model, balancing quality, cost and privacy.

Available on: web, iOS, Android (shown as Auto mode in the app).

How it chooses

• The type of request: coding, reasoning, writing, a quick question.
• Your Model privacy setting. With Open source only, Auto only routes to Private models.
• Your plan. Auto uses the best model your plan includes.

The answer shows which model was used.

When to pick a model yourself

• You want a specific model’s strengths for a long task.
• You want to control credit cost with a cheaper model.
• You are comparing models: use Council Mode instead.

Tap the model pill to switch at any point; Auto never locks you in. Your memory stays with you whichever model answers.
