Importing conversations from other AI apps
Anuma lets you import your full conversation history from Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok. Bring your existing AI conversations into Anuma so your memory starts with everything you’ve already built — no starting from scratch.
Supported providers
| Provider | Import method |
|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Export from ChatGPT settings, upload the file to Anuma |
| Claude | Export from Claude settings, upload the file to Anuma |
| Grok | Export from Grok settings, upload the file to Anuma |

Steps
Step 1: Export from your current AI provider
Each provider has an export option in their settings:
- ChatGPT — Go to ChatGPT Settings > Data Controls > Export Data
- Claude — Go to Claude Settings > Account > Export Data
- Grok — Go to Grok Settings > Data > Export
Download the export file (usually a ZIP or JSON file).
Step 2: Open Import settings in Anuma
Go to Settings in Anuma, then find the Import section.
Step 3: Select your provider
Choose which provider you’re importing from (ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok).
Step 4: Upload the export file
Select the export file you downloaded. Anuma processes and imports your conversations.
Step 5: Review imported conversations
Once imported, your conversations appear in your chat history. Memories extracted from those conversations populate your Memory Vault.
Good to know
- Imported conversations are encrypted and stored on your device, just like conversations you create in Anuma.
- Import works on both web and mobile.
- Batch import is supported — you can import multiple export files at once.
- Your imported memories become part of your unified context across all AI models in Anuma.
- Import is a one-time process. Future conversations in other apps need to be re-exported and re-imported.
