Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about Anuma, privacy, models, and billing. For more, visit anuma.ai .

Privacy & Security

Is my data really private on Anuma?

Yes. Privacy is the default in Anuma. Your conversations and memory are encrypted and stored under your control. Nothing is shared unless you choose. Learn more about privacy.

Who can see my conversations and memory?

Only you can read your stored conversations and memory. When you message a closed source model, just that message context is sent to the provider to generate a response — your memory and full history stay private.

What does “private memory” actually mean?

Private memory means Anuma remembers your preferences, past conversations, and projects, but it stores them in a private, encrypted vault you control. AI models can temporarily use that memory to help you, but they don’t get to keep it. Learn more about Memories.

Do AI models like GPT or Claude store my data when I use them in Anuma?

When you use closed source models, your message is sent to their servers so they can generate a response. Anuma limits what they see and keeps your private memory separate. While external providers may log data under their own policies, they don’t get permanent access to your full history or vault. For maximum privacy, use open source models.

What happens if I delete a conversation or memory?

It’s deleted for good. Anuma keeps no hidden copies of your data, and deleted items don’t linger on our servers. Deleted means deleted. (Any encrypted backups you’ve set up are also under your control — you choose what’s backed up and can clear them anytime.)

Can I choose between open source and closed source models?

Yes. Use open source models  (Qwen, Kimi, GLM) for maximum privacy — they run on Anuma’s private infrastructure instead of external providers. Use closed source models  (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok) when you want the most powerful commercial AI. You choose the right model for each task.

Models & Features

How is Anuma different from ChatGPT or Claude?

ChatGPT and Claude are single AI apps with their own memory and rules. Anuma is your private AI space that lets you use dozens of leading AI models while keeping your memory under your control instead of theirs.

Can I switch AI models without losing context?

Yes. You can move between GPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI models without starting over. Your context stays with you, so every model already knows what you’re working on. You can also use Auto Model to let Anuma choose the best model automatically.

Will my memory sync across my devices?

Yes. You have the option to securely sync your encrypted memory across all your devices, so your AI knows the same things everywhere. Learn more about backup.

What happens if I lose my device or switch phones?

Your encrypted memory is tied to your secure identity, not a single device. When you sign in on a new device, your encrypted memory can be restored safely without exposing it to anyone else.

Billing & Plans

Can I access all Anuma features with the free plan?

Yes — every plan includes all Anuma features: Council Mode, encrypted memory, AI agents, and creation tools, plus most AI models. Most premium models unlock with Starter; a small set of flagship models (currently Claude Fable 5) is Pro-only. You can upgrade anytime as your needs grow.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. Plans are flexible. You can upgrade instantly, and downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. No cancellation fees. See pricing .

What if I need more credits?

Pro subscribers can purchase credit packs anytime in the app for instant top-ups. On Free and Starter, upgrading your plan is how you get more monthly credits. Learn more about credits.

Can I get Pro without paying?

Yes. Staking 100,000 $ZETA or more through the Token Dashboard unlocks the Pro plan for as long as your staked balance stays above the threshold — and you earn spendable AI credits from staking at the same time.
