Using Deep Research mode
Deep Research isn’t currently available in Anuma. It has been removed from the tools menu while we improve it, so you won’t find it in the app right now. Watch What’s new for its return — the notes below describe how it works when it’s enabled.
Deep Research is an extended reasoning mode that gives Anuma more time to think through complex questions. When activated, Anuma uses enhanced thinking and research capabilities to deliver more thorough, well-reasoned responses.
How it works when it’s enabled
- Open the tools menu — tap the menu button in the chat input area.
- Select Deep Research — the chat input indicator shows that it’s active.
- Ask your question — Deep Research works best for questions that require analysis, comparison, multi-step reasoning, or exploring a topic in depth.
- Review the response — Anuma takes more time and returns deeper analysis than a standard chat message.
When to use Deep Research
- Comparing multiple options or approaches
- Analyzing complex documents or datasets
- Questions that require multi-step reasoning
- Research-heavy topics that need thorough exploration
- Technical questions that benefit from extended thinking
